- The flat tire on the bus got repaired.
- Crossed the border. No passport check. They did not even have to stop.
- Arrived in Léogâne at 2pm. 11 hours after leaving Santo Domingo.
- Somewhere along the way some kids told them that their parents were killed and they were hungry. They gave the kids some candy.
- In Port-Au-Prince some buildings are standing and others are completely demolished.
- Saw tent city near airport - heartbreaking.
- Did not drink on the bus ride because there was no bathroom.
- All of the medical supplies are piled and organized in a room.
- Met the Bishop. Told him that she is Chuck's Sister in Law
- Having fun playing with the kids. Playing catch with them.
- The men played basketball with the teenage boys
- Gave out newborn kits like the ones David made for his eagle project to mothers with babies living at the church
- Gave away all the formula that she brought to mothers that needed it. (Tell this to Tiffany and Dawn at Phoenix Children's Hospital)
- Kids like having their pictures taken.
- A little boy was drinking water out of a bag and another little boy wanted some and they shared.
- Some little boy offered her a box of milk.
- The church grounds are full of tents. Everyone appears to be happy like they are having a party together.
- Going to have church tomorrow from 9 to noon
- They had a baptism at the church today. Very emotional.
- They had a room for everyone to sleep in but it was too crowded so Laura and some others including Dianne choose to set their tents up outside on the church grounds. (inside the fence)
- It is very humid.
- Local church members are preparing dinner, it is almost ready.
- They have made plans for who will be working on which medical teams
- The nurses are going to have to work hard because there are more doctors than nurses.
- She thinks that she will be working at the church.
- No time for a bucket bath. Using wipes to bathe.
- Little boy 7 or 8 years old asked for formula. She said that it is for the babies and he said that he is a baby.
- Wants to leave her rain fly off her tent. I told here there is a 40% chance of rain
- She was going to tell me something else bug the call got cut off and she did not call back.
